TabHue

Your pet

Your pet sits beside your work in TabHue. It keeps you company while you focus, brings your reminders, and earns treats when you get things done. It never makes a sound and is never sad or sick.

Naming your pet

The first time you open TabHue, it asks for a name. To change it later, open Pets and click Rename on the pet's card.

Keeping it happy

  • Treats come from finished focus sessions, daily quests and finished tasks. Give one with the Treat button on Home or in Pets.
  • Daily quests: three small goals each day, such as one focus session or closing duplicate tabs. Each one earns a treat.
  • Care: in Pets you can give a treat, play with a feather, pet it or tuck it in for a nap.
  • Its room fills up as you focus: a berry collar, a cosy bed, a second plant, a toy mouse and a window seat. Badges mark your milestones.

The pets

Tabby the cat is free. With Pro you can choose Huey the chameleon, who takes the colour of the category you're on, Pip the puppy, Clover the bunny or Sage the owl. Pick one in Pets → Companions. More pets arrive on tabhue.com/pets.

Your pet on your pages

If you like, your pet can sit on the edge of the websites you visit. Turn on Pet on your pages in Pets or Settings; Chrome asks for permission first. Drag it anywhere and it stays there. Click it for a menu: start a focus session, open TabHue, or hide it on that site.

It shows your reminders right on the page, and reminds you when you open a parked site during a focus session. TabHue never reads the pages it sits on.

Quiet company

Turn on Quiet company in Settings and your pet stays, but stops speaking up on pages and stops putting a star on the TabHue icon. Reminders you set still arrive.
